Pastoral Letter from Rev. Shana Dry

Dear Beloved Church Family,

Jesus said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

Since I was fourteen, I knew that God had a great plan for my life and that I was called to share the love of Jesus wherever I went. Twelve years ago I attended annual conference as a lay delegate for our church. At the time I was the full-time youth director. In the last worship service of the conference, Bishop Hayes offered an altar call to all those who felt led to dedicate their lives to the church. I leaned over and said to my friend, “I MUST go down NOW”. I was moved beyond words. That night my life would change forever.

I have since been the associate pastor for the last nine years, graduated seminary with a Master of Divinity, director of the NSU Wesley Foundation for the past six years, a dean at our district church camp for the past seven years, and just this past October, I became an Ordained Elder of the Oklahoma Methodist Conference. I have been so very blessed to serve right beside you and with you through all of our highs and lows of ministry.

Now the time has come to turn the page and start a new chapter in my life and in the life of our church. I am quite honored, proud, and humbled to be appointed as your senior pastor beginning June 26, 2022.

This is truly an exciting time in the life of our church. Hope, Joy, and Love fill my heart and my mind as I prepare for this position. The possibilities are endless as to the amount of love that will pour out into our church and onto those who need it the most. I look forward to visiting with each of you in the near future. My door is always open and my phone is always on. My cell phone number is 918-822-1913. Please be in prayer and joy with me as we begin this journey of hope and love together. God Loves each and every one of you and So Do I!

Peace & Love,

Reverend Shana Dry
